The Stationery Studio began in 1994 as a passion project and work of love for its entrepreneurial founder, Renee Redman. What started as a small home-based business selling handmade note cards quickly grew into something much larger. Renee, a Chicago-based public relations consultant and mother of two, began meeting clients in her living room and offering custom invitations, personalized stationery, and thoughtfully curated gifts.

In 1997, she launched TheStationeryStudio.com — one of the first online destinations dedicated to personalized stationery and gifts. As the internet evolved, so did the business. What began with a handful of designs has grown into a premier online boutique offering tens of thousands of personalized products, from stationery and notepads to party supplies, invitations, and custom gifts for every occasion.

A New Chapter

In January 2025, ownership of The Stationery Studio transitioned to long-time team members Joan and Rob Asher, who bring decades of combined experience with the company and the stationery industry.

Joan and Rob have worked closely with the brand for many years and share the same commitment to quality, creativity, and personal service that built The Stationery Studio’s reputation. Their goal is simple: to honor the company’s legacy while continuing to evolve the business for today’s customers.

Rob brings deep expertise in graphic design, printing, and production, ensuring that every personalized piece reflects craftsmanship and attention to detail. Joan’s strengths in business operations, customer experience, and data-driven decision-making help guide the company’s growth while keeping customers at the center of everything we do.

Together, they are committed to maintaining the boutique spirit of The Stationery Studio while expanding the collection of stylish, meaningful, personalized products customers love.
